Pennmoore Company History
Est. 1990
Pennmoore was founded by Tom Lees in 1990.
From the outset we decided only to offer 'best in class' products, a policy which has served us well over the last 20 years.
We spotted the trend for candles in the eighties and did much to pioneer European candles in the market, which, hitherto, had been flat, fairly uninteresting, and very seasonal.
During the nineties Pennmoore became a sizeable player in the candles market indeed we were probably one of the largest independent distributors in the UK.
Despite cheap imports from China, we were never tempted to lower our standards and have remained supporters of British and European manufacture.
Many top catering establishments throughout the UK use our candles.
Since 2006 we have been interested in the food industry as agents for Principals and have also successfully launched a financial support package which is used by clients to assist their growth without bank involvement.
